Burch Band and Thomas Jude
The Delbarton Opry House and Community Center came into existance because of a need. It had its begginings at the old Delbarton City Hall when Joe Crum and his brother Jack got together for “jam sessions”.
Bit by bit people came in to listen to the music, and maybe “cut a rug”, and before you knew it there was a considerable crowd. In winter some vacant storefront buildings in town were put to good use, and when summer came the show was moved outside to a vacant lot. It became a weekly event and grew in such popularity that it needed a permanent home.
Every Saturday night, starting at 6pm, The Delbarton Opry House sponsors one of the best Country/Bluegrass shows around. It’s good clean family fun. Admission is FREE to the public.
New this year to the Opry House is “Youth Opry Night & Art Gallery”. Thanks much to the effort of local musician/teacher Thomas Jude. His dream to highlight the talent of our area’s youth has ended in a marvelous entertainment night for all ages. This event occurs bi-monthly on Friday nights at 6pm.
